In case some people are looking for a great flying site north of SLC. The west side of Barnes Park in Kaysville makes a good flying location. It is just west of I-15 exit 331. It has a four-plex of baseball diamonds to the east of the parking lot. A soccer practice field to the south and some grass areas that are rarely used for Football or soccer practice to the west. Then west of those grass areas are open fields of soft, often plowed but not planted, dirt (read: less damage when crashing). I usually fly off of the grass fields west of the parking lot and fly over the open fields. If you need a landing strip there is a paved walkway or the parking lot.
